Richard Haythornthwaite

Rick served as Chairman of Mastercard from 2006 until the end of 2020. He currently serves as the Chairman of Ocado, QiO Technologies (a company that specializes in advanced analytics and AI software), Xynteo (an ESG Advisor), the Creative Industries Federation, and the AA. In addition, he is a non-executive director of Globant.

Previously, Rick served as Chairman of Centrica, The World Wide Web Foundation, and Network Rail Limited. He has also served as CEO of Blue Circle Group and Invensys. Moreover, he held non-executive directorships at Land Securities Group, Imperial Chemical Industries, Lafarge, and Cookson Group.

Rick is an Advisory Partner at Moelis & Co.

Rick holds degrees from MIT’s Sloan Business School (Sloan Fellow) and The Queen’s College, Oxford (MA Geology).
