Alastair Lukies CBE

A thought leader in the sector of FinTech, Alastair Lukies is famed for his former role as the U.K. Prime Minister’s Ambassador for FinTech. Today, he is the sole Business Ambassador for FinTech.

Alastair serves as Chair of Fintech Alliance. In that role, he works to bring the international FinTech sector together in a space that it can be explored, engaged with, and create business.

Alastair is also widely known as the founding CEO of Pollinate International, the award-winning company he launched as a way to revolutionize the services banks are able to provide to their SMB customers.

Previously, Alastair was the founder, Group CEO and Co-CEO of Monitise which he grew to become a £2 billion market cap company spanning thousands of employees across 4 continents.

Alastair is also a founding partner of Motive Partners, where he focused on origination. Today, Alastair leads the advisory board. He is also the Chairman of Innovate Finance, working to accelerate the UK in the race to become the number one place for FinTech.

Alastair has also spent years as a member of the Prime Minister’s Business Council spanning multiple Prime Ministers. Highly commended for his contributions to the financial sector, Alastair has been recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year in the Growing Business Awards 2011, and his company Monitise was recognized as a ‘Technology Pioneer’ by the World Economic Forum. In June 2014, he was appointed a CBE for his services to mobile banking and charity.
